An established international energy operator is expanding its QSHE function and is seeking a Technical Safety Engineer with circa 3–5 years’ experience to support a growing portfolio of offshore and onshore projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to further develop their technical safety career within a highly regarded operator environment, working across complex operational and project-based activities. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, regulators, and senior stakeholders to ensure compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement across key assets.

• Conduct consequence modelling activities using PHAST and FLARESIM
• Perform Mini QRAs including event tree and fault tree development
• Undertake Hazardous Area Classification studies and Fire & Explosion Risk Assessments
• Support Safety Case material changes and 5-Year Thorough Reviews
• Apply COMAH regulations and contribute to wider process safety compliance activities
• Support offshore and onshore operational risk assessments and engineering projects
• Liaise with project teams, operational personnel, regulators, and senior stakeholders on technical safety matters

Candidate Requirements
• Degree qualified in Process Safety, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Approximately 3–5 years’ experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemicals, or another high-hazard industry
• Previous experience within a Technical Safety or Process Safety engineering role
• Experience using software such as PHAST, PHAPro, BowTie XP and FLARESIM
• Understanding of UK offshore safety regulations and COMAH legislation
• CFD experience would be advantageous
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Motivated individual looking to develop within a technically challenging operator environment

What’s on offer
• Excellent career progression opportunities within a global energy organisation
• Competitive salary and relocation support package
• Discretionary bonus scheme
• Private medical and dental insurance
• Enhanced pension provision
• Profit sharing scheme
• 25 days holiday plus additional flex days
