Senior Project Engineer - Offshore EPIC Projects

About the Opportunity

An international energy operator is seeking experienced Senior Project Engineers to support the delivery of major offshore oil and gas development projects in Qatar. These positions will focus on the engineering management and execution of complex offshore facilities and process platform developments through all phases of EPIC project delivery.

The successful candidates will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, contractors and project stakeholders to support safe, efficient and timely project execution while maintaining compliance with project quality and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide project engineering and project management support for offshore process platform and facilities projects
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams throughout engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning phases
• Prepare and implement project execution plans and delivery strategies
• Participate in project planning, budgeting, cost control, progress reporting and change management activities
• Coordinate technical reviews and support resolution of engineering and project execution issues
• Support preparation of scope of work documents, tender packages and technical bid evaluations
• Monitor contractor and vendor performance to ensure compliance with project milestones, quality standards and technical requirements
• Support interface management activities between contractors and project stakeholders
• Participate in project risk identification, mitigation and close-out activities
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and project quality standards
• Review contractor claims, variations and final account submissions
• Support project handover, completion and close-out activities including punch list management and documentation approval
• Prepare project reports, presentations and internal progress updates
• Support knowledge sharing, mentoring and development activities within the project team

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline from a recognized university
• Advanced degree or professional engineering membership is advantageous
• Minimum 12 years of experience in engineering, project management and execution of major offshore oil and gas EPIC projects
• Strong experience in process or gas compression platform projects involving jackets, topsides, bridges and associated offshore facilities
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and contractor teams
• Strong knowledge of offshore project execution, contract administration and project controls
• Experience in tendering, technical evaluation and contractor management activities
• Strong communication, presentation and report writing skills
• Able to work effectively within complex, multicultural project environments
