Subject: Structural Lead / Senior Structural Engineer – Offshore Engineering Project

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Structural Lead / Senior Structural Engineer to support an offshore engineering project based in Singapore. The role will be responsible for leading structural engineering activities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, reviewing technical documents, and providing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in technical clarification, design review, procurement support, construction coordination, and closure of client comments.

This opportunity is open to Singapore-based candidates and Asia regional candidates with strong offshore structural engineering experience.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Leading and coordinating structural engineering activities for the assigned offshore project scope.
   
   
2. Identifying structural work scope, technical requirements, and project deliverables.
   
   
3. Participating in technical clarifications, engineering discussions, and preparation of discipline proposals.
   
   
4. Reviewing, checking, and approving structural engineering documents, drawings, calculations, and technical reports.
   
   
5. Coordinating and tracking the closure of client, owner, or third-party review comments related to structural engineering.
   
   
6. Managing technical issues related to structural documents, including coordination with other disciplines to ensure timely resolution.
   
   
7. Preparing and reviewing technical documents for material requisitions, bid evaluations, vendor clarifications, vendor drawing reviews, FAT inspections, and other procurement-related engineering support.
   
   
8. Reviewing structural calculation results, special studies, engineering reports, and technical recommendations.
   
   
9. Providing technical support during construction, including site coordination, engineering clarification, and review of proposed technical solutions.
   
   
10. Supporting the Project Manager and Structural Department with any other project-related engineering tasks as required.
    
    

Education and Experience Requirements The ideal candidate should have:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
   
   
2. Minimum 15 years of offshore engineering experience, with strong exposure to offshore platforms, FPSO projects, semi-submersible platforms, or similar offshore structures.
   
   
3. Strong experience in offshore structural design, analysis, review, and technical coordination.
   
   
4. Familiarity with international offshore structural engineering standards, including but not limited to API RP 2A, ISO 19901, and other relevant offshore design codes.
   
   

Technical Skills The candidate should have:

1. Strong knowledge of structural engineering for offshore oil and gas facilities, including offshore platforms and floating production facilities.
   
   
2. Hands-on experience using SACS and AutoCAD for offshore structural engineering work.
   
   
3. Ability to review structural drawings, engineering calculations, technical reports, vendor documents, and construction-related engineering deliverables.
   
   
4. Good understanding of procurement engineering support, including material requisitions, bid clarifications, vendor drawing review, and FAT-related technical support.
   
   
5. Ability to coordinate across engineering, procurement, construction, project management, vendors, and client representatives.
   
   

Additional Skills for Geotechnical / Foundation Engineering Candidates Candidates with geotechnical and foundation engineering experience should have:

1. Strong knowledge of geotechnical and foundation engineering works for offshore oil and gas platforms.
   
   
2. Experience using GRLWEAP, SACS, and AutoCAD for geotechnical, pile, and foundation-related engineering work.
   
   
3. Ability to review foundation design documents, pile analysis, soil-related engineering inputs, and foundation technical reports.

Reporting Line The role will report to the Project Manager / Structural Department Lead, depending on project organization structure.
