PROJECT ENGINEER

If you are interested in the Engineering and you would like to work in a young and dynamic company, this is your opportunity! As Project Engineer you will support the Plant Engineer Manager at plant level in achieving objectives and performances, through the management and coordination of the team related to a specific project from CAPEX list. You will operate according to general objectives of the plant respecting the current rules regarding Quality, Safety and Environment, and promoting integration between the functions with a view to continuous improvement.

WHAT WE WILL DO TOGETHER

You will be responsible for the application of company policies, and in particular you manage and ensure:

• Strong Leadership skills for project management and coordination of cross functional teams not directly reporting to Plant Eng. Spec. - internal employee or external resources (suppliers);

• Directly report to Plant Eng Manager;

• Ability to manage relationship and discussion with high level of stakeholder (i.e. Plant Manager, Country Eng Manager and/or Country/Group roles);

• Supervision, coordination and tracking of all tasks related to big projects with high complexity;

• Good financial knowledge for budget monitoring and controlling up to 10 Mio€ (for a single project);

• Single point of contact for building up new capex list year on year;

• Proven experience in high complexity working environment and strong technical knowledge in food and beverage industry (HACCP, FSSC, etc.);

• Carry on project in compliance with Safety & Quality regulations;

• High problem solving skills and ability to fast react in case of deviations;

You will support the Plant Engineering Manager with in:

• management, coordination and tracking of project assigned to you;

• budget monitoring and controlling;

• procedural support for project team;

• organization of daily job/activities during yards

• constant and continuous cultural diffusion of the concept of good engineering practices;

You support and collaborates with Production Area Team and all other staff Dept. regarding:

• ongoing results of the project;

• daily monitoring of projects in order to always on time and in budget;

• any aspects related to the project and its implementation from design to execution;

In guaranteeing your responsibilities, you always refers to the general company objective, in this regard you coordinate with colleagues from different Production Areas (PA) and other functions, generating synergies for the sharing of equipment, staff flexibility and mutual support.

To meet the defined responsibilities, you also refer to the support of the competent staff functions and in particular:

• RSPP regarding safety and environmental aspects

• Continuous Improvement for continuous improvement

• Plant Technical Engineering for technical design issues and for the use of the workshop which it undertakes to maintain in compliance with GMP regulations and reporting of understocks

• QA for quality issues

ARE YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT WE'RE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Project Management/Engineering role in a multinational company
  • Master Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Managerial Engineering preferred)
  • Good project management expertise, with proven experience in leading cross-functional and complex projects end-to-end
  • Nice to have: previous experience in food industry
  • Strategic thinking
  • Problem solving skills
  • Experience in contractor management
  • Fluent in English
