Nottinghamshire County Council is dedicated to serving our community with compassion and commitment. We believe in empowering individuals to live independently and thrive in their own homes. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of adults who require care and support.

Are you ready to lead the way in shaping happy homes for adults who require care and support? As the Commissioning Manager for Housing and Supported Accommodation, you will drive strategic commissioning and creative development of a strong pipeline of supported accommodation that meets the needs of people now and in the future. This will include working in partnership with people who draw on care and support, external developers, care providers, strategic partners and cross-council teams. Enabling homes that can be adapted to people's needs, establishing communities through housing and supporting access to general needs housing are all key elements in ensuring that everybody has a home in a place they love and is able to do the things they want with people that matter to them. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact!

In this pivotal role, you will:
  • Lead the strategic commissioning of supported accommodation for adults who require care and support.
  • Develop the relationships and commissioning strategies to strengthen our pipeline.
  • Manage staff, contracts, and partnerships to uphold strong standards.
  • Conduct joint strategic needs assessments and regular market engagement.
  • Champion co-production and ensure decisions are shaped by the voices of people who draw on care and support.
  • Monitor performance and create opportunities to drive improvements.

To thrive in this role, you should possess:
  • A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field.
  • A solid understanding of adult social care and housing legislation and commissioning and procurement principles.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating supported accommodation and its impact.
  • Strong budgeting and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven experience of procurement, contract management, and quality assurance.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Analyses complex information to inform decision-making.
  • Inspires and motivates teams to achieve high performance.
  • Collaborates effectively with partners and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates resilience and a commitment to improving outcomes for residents.

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we offer:
  • A place to belong: A friendly, inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
  • Work-life balance: Flexible working arrangements to support your well-being.
  • Professional growth: Opportunities for continuous professional development and career advancement.
  • Community connection: Work alongside passionate colleagues dedicated to making a difference.

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to lead change and support your community! If you are ready to make a difference, apply now and join Nottinghamshire County Council in our mission to empower individuals and enhance lives.
