Primary Objective
Ensure instrumentation design integrity while leading the instrumentation engineering group on specific projects.
What You Will Do
- Ensure work is carried out competently and effectively, within time and budget constraints, and that project objectives are met
- Provide overall supervision of instrumentation engineers, designers, and technical personnel during project execution
- Ensure the integrity of the work scope and that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards
- Manage project discipline resource requirements
- Prepare instrumentation cost, schedule, and resource estimates for assigned projects
What You Will Bring
- Excellent 2D computer design skills using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Ability to produce accurate design drawings based on project information
- Ability to interact effectively with others and communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform instrument hook-ups is preferable
- Knowledge of instrumentation installation requirements in hazardous areas
- Experience with 3D modelling systems such as PDS, PDMS, or AutoPlant
- Experience with advanced engineering design and data systems such as SmartPlant Instrumentation
- Exposure to site surveys, construction or commissioning support, and site acceptance and loop testing on oil & gas facilities
- Experience working in a PMC (Project Management Consultancy) environment
- Demonstrated experience working in the Middle East project environment
Qualifications / Experience
- Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum 15 years of total experience post graduate studies
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Lead Design Engineer or equivalent
- Previous experience working with a contractor or in a comparable delivery model
