What will you be doing?

As a Commissioning Engineer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our systems are installed, tested and delivered to the highest standard before handover to our customers.

This is a hands-on, site-based role based in Cowes, Isle of White. It will include regular UK and international travel to customer sites.

You'll be responsible for:
  • Commissioning, testing and final acceptance of monitoring systems both in-house and on site
  • Configuring hardware and software, including sensors and data acquisition systems
  • Calibrating and validating load, strain and structural monitoring equipment Fault-finding and resolving technical issues during commissioning
  • Producing commissioning documentation, reports and handover packs Supporting installation activities alongside engineering and project teams
  • Ensuring all work meets quality, safety and customer requirements
  • Representing Strainstall professionally on customer sites

As part of our team, you will get:
  • Salary from £35,000 per annum depending on experience, with opportunity to earn up to £60,000

To join our team, you will need:
  • An Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent experience)
  • An Electrical background
  • An understanding of industrial electronics or automation
  • To be comfortable and able to work at heights and in confined spaces when needed
  • Good communication skills
  • To be comfortable working independently
