Bolton College is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lecturer with industry / subject specialist knowledge to enhance and develop the T Level Specialism in Mechanical Engineering.

Ideally, you will have:

• Teaching qualification, PGCE or must be prepared to obtain within a specified period of time following appointment
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline
• Assessor awards A1/A2 (D32/33) & V1(D35), or prepared to obtain within a specified period of time following appointment
• Proven experience of successfully teaching up to Level 5 (including BTEC, T Level, or awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, EAL, Pearson)
• An in-depth and practical knowledge of relevant subject.
• Internal verification & moderation experience.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Delivering teaching and learning for an agreed scheduled timetable of class contact hours.
• Supporting the curriculum management on curriculum and course development.
• Taking part and complying with all quality assurance procedures and systems within the area of responsibility.
• Developing resources, supporting teaching programmes and delivering on a number of courses as required.
• Supporting the achievements of annual targets for learner numbers, income, expenditure and success rates.
• As an individual you will be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk, and will therefore be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
