Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer - Nuclear
Location: Manchester (Hybrid - 2 days per week office-based)

Working Location:
Based in Manchester with a hybrid working model, typically 2 days per week in the office and the remainder working remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist electrical input on projects and proposals, including drafting, reviewing, and approving engineering documents.
- Support the development of junior engineers and graduates through guidance and mentoring.
- Deliver high-quality electrical engineering outputs that meet schedule, budget, and client expectations.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant legislation, industry standards, and internal/client requirements.
- Prepare specifications and requisitions for a range of electrical equipment, such as HV/LV switchboards, transformers, and UPS systems.
Requirements:
- Extensive electrical engineering experience in the nuclear sector, with strong knowledge of design, installation standards, and UK legislation.
- Skilled in CE marking compliance (including ATEX, PED, LVD, Machinery, EMC) and nuclear plant installation requirements.
- Security cleared (or eligible), with expertise in risk management, HSE, and regulatory compliance.
- Degree-qualified in Electrical or Control Engineering; Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or actively working towards professional registration.
