Senior Structural Engineer

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia or Jakarta, Indonesia

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering activities for offshore oil and gas facilities. You will provide technical leadership throughout detailed engineering, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant structural designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead structural engineering design and analysis activities for offshore facilities.
- Prepare and review structural calculations, reports, specifications, and other engineering deliverables.
- Perform structural assessments for topsides, jackets, modules, and supporting structures.
- Ensure compliance with project requirements, international standards, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout project execution.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, constructability reviews, and client meetings.
- Review vendor documentation and provide technical input where required.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
- Support project planning, progress monitoring, and technical issue resolution.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of structural engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong offshore platform design experience.
- Proven experience in detailed engineering projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, SESAM, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of API, ISO, DNV, and international offshore design standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Previous experience working with major EPC contractors is highly desirable.
