Senior Engineer – Grid Code Compliance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineer – Grid Code Compliance to join a leading technical and certification team supporting the integration of renewable energy generation into power networks. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge renewable energy projects, collaborating with manufacturers, developers, and grid operators to ensure compliance with national and international grid requirements.

Working within a highly respected engineering environment, you will play a key role in the assessment, modelling, simulation, and certification of renewable energy systems, helping accelerate the global energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical assessments of grid code compliance for renewable energy generation systems.
• Perform power system modelling and simulations using DIgSILENT PowerFactory and MATLAB.
• Analyse and evaluate test results for electrical equipment, generation units, and power systems.
• Prepare technical reports, compliance assessments, and certification documentation.
• Support the development of technical guidelines, innovative tools, and new service offerings.
• Engage directly with customers, manufacturers, and grid operators throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to project management activities and business development initiatives.
• Keep up to date with evolving grid standards, regulations, and industry best practices.

Key Requirements

Essential

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience working with electrical generation systems and grid integration.
• Strong understanding of grid codes, power systems, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience using:
  • DIgSILENT PowerFactory
  • MATLAB
  • Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluent German language skills (the role is conducted in German).
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable

• Experience with grid code certification and compliance processes.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, including wind, solar, and battery energy storage systems.
• Experience working with certification bodies, utilities, grid operators, or renewable energy developers.
• Interest in technical innovation and digital solutions within the energy sector.
