We are delivering large-scale, cutting-edge systems such as the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) for the national rail network and Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) for the Oslo metro. These solutions ensure safe, reliable, and efficient travel for thousands of passengers every day.

Role Overview

As a Project Engineering & Interface Manager you will play a critical role in delivering the CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) project in Oslo by ensuring all systems and subsystems are seamlessly integrated into one unified, fully functioning solution.

You will own the end-to-end integration lifecycle-from interface definition and coordination to implementation, testing, and final system acceptance-and act as the key technical integrator across teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end system integration lifecycle
  • Define, manage, and validate all technical interfaces (functional, physical, and communication)
  • Ensure integration complies with technical, contractual, and safety requirements
  • Coordinate integration activities across engineering teams, subsystem owners, and project leadership
  • Maintain and govern system integration plans and documentation
  • Drive interface alignment with customer requirements (Sporveien)
  • Support and coordinate system integration testing, commissioning, and validation activities
  • Identify and mitigate integration risks, interface conflicts, and technical issues
  • Act as the main technical interface toward internal stakeholders and the customer
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and support certification and safety processes
  • Report progress, risks, and key issues to project leadership

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical field
  • Proven experience in system integration, interface management, or complex infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, requirements management, and integration processes
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems and standards (e.g., rail, signaling, EN standards) is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced project environment
  • You are proficient in Norwegian and English
