Electrical Engineer

Design the systems powering the future of energy and low-carbon infrastructure.

We're looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team, delivering innovative solutions across complex, live operational environments. This is a hands-on design role where you'll take ownership of electrical systems from concept through to delivery, supporting major energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects.

What you'll be doing:

Leading end-to-end electrical design for LV/HV distribution systems and energy infrastructure

• Designing and integrating systems including transformers, CHP, solar PV, heat pumps and standby generation
• Producing outline and detailed designs, specifications and technical documentation
• Ensuring safe, buildable solutions for live operational sites with minimal disruption
• Liaising with DNOs on grid connections and compliance with ENA standards
• Collaborating with mechanical, controls, audit and construction teams to deliver fully integrated solutions
• Supporting site surveys, client meetings and technical problem-solving across projects
• Keeping up to date with relevant standards including BS 7671, CIBSE and Building Regulations

What we're looking for:

• BSc/BEng in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5+ years' experience in electrical design within energy, infrastructure or live building environments
• Strong experience with LV/HV systems and distributed energy technologies (CHP, PV, heat pumps, generators)
• Knowledge of ENA Engineering Recommendations (G99, G100, P28, P29, G5)
• Experience working to CIBSE, HTMs, HBNs and UK Building Regulations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
