Job Purpose

Advise and provide operational inputs to the Project Management team and EPC Contractor to ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations in terms of Safety, Operability, Reliability, and Maintainability over the facility design life cycle.

Job Context & Major Challenges

• Effectively influence project decisions based on both CAPEX and OPEX considerations throughout the project life cycle.
• Address complex discipline-specific and multi-discipline related problems and issues, or special studies to ensure the overall success of expansion projects.
• Operate in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment where maintaining the team's focus on common goals, integrity, and value generation is critical to success.
• Maintain a high degree of flexibility in the performance of job functions and adherence to professional engineering standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide all inputs to project documentation for all operations-related documents and ancillary systems (including Project Philosophies, PIDs, C&E charts, ESD logic diagrams, Spare parts, Initial fill, Operator Training System, Pipeline Management System, Emergency Pipeline Repair Strategy, Hand-Over process and philosophies, and Project Gate documents) in compliance with relevant specifications.
• Review and input key end-user specifications such as ICSS HMI specifications, Hierarchy views, Operator Training Systems, and Pipeline Management System where relevant.
• Maintain an appropriate issues register to identify areas where improvements and/or recovery plans are required. Review findings and corrective actions required from internal and external readiness and/or peer reviews, identify responsible parties, and monitor closure.
• Provide monthly progress and stewardship reporting, and identify key issues to the Operations and Management teams.
• Facilitate incorporation of Operations lessons learned into the project design, identify areas for improvement, and assist in providing and implementing best practices.
• Ensure all lessons learned during construction, commissioning, start-up, and initial operations are captured through management of the lesson-learned database.
• Manage risk assessment of deliverables, audit findings, and readiness review findings to identify the priorities required for each responsible party.
• Coordinate actions to address risk mitigation requirements associated with new technologies implemented in expansion projects.
