Demcon defense & security systems collaborates with the Dutch ministry of defence on a number of themes: energy supply (electricity, heat, cooling) on large scale, such as for vehicles or bases, and on small (portable) scale; and autonomous systems, the development of technology for unmanned and (semi) autonomous systems.

What are you going to do?

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will develop mechanical concepts and design and engineer tools or systems in CAD, from concept phase through detailed design and technical product documentation (TPD). In addition, you will be involved in the realization, including working with suppliers, prototype builds, and verification testing. A significant part of your work will focus on high-power energy and cooling systems, for applications such as drone defense systems and hybrid vehicles. Due to the growth in projects and a roadmap that anticipates further expansion, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to strengthen the team. You will work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating closely with other mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, thermal specialists, and system architects to deliver well-integrated, high-performing systems.

What do you bring to the table?

• A completed bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Affinity with machine building;
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks);
• Attention to detail and the drive to deliver complete system designs;
• Broad technical interest (you can actively engage with colleagues from other disciplines).
