    Private networks- We find the besttechnology, manage assets and refresh systems. With 24/7 network operations, wekeep things running smoothly, while operating comprehensive network repair andmaintenance to keep everything in top shape.

    Sitting within the National Grid account, the CORS ProjectEngineering Manager leads technical delivery and assurance of Critical NationalInfrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant execution todesign, regulatory and industry standards. Provides strategic leadership acrossprojects including substations, upgrades and deployments involving Cisco, DWDM,telephony, CCTV, and power systems.

    Whatwill you be doing?

    • Lead technical strategy, governance, and assurance across multiple projects.
    • Drive delivery of compliant, high-quality engineering solutions, resolving complex challenges.
    • Manage concurrent work packages, ensuring alignment with programme, cost, and risk targets.
    • Identify and track interdependencies of projects.
    • Lead and develop project engineers, optimising resource allocation and manage individual performance and HR related activities.
    • Ensure all engineering activities adhere to quality plans, H&S legislation, and safe systems of work.
    • Drive a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring technical, operational, and safety risks are identified and mitigated.
    • Act as senior technical interface for clients and stakeholders, managing communication and escalations.

    What you'llbring?

    Essential

    • Extensive experience managing technical delivery in utilities, or project engineering environments.
    • Deep knowledge of engineering design principles including an understanding of:

    Routers, Switches, Telephony

    Telecoms AC and DC powerprinciples

    CWDM, DWDM, SDH, CarrierEthernet, IP
    • Provenleadership experience managing engineering teams or multidisciplinary projectgroups.

    • Demonstrated success in delivering complex technical projects on time, within budget, and to required standards.
    • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
    • Eligible for SC clearance.

    Desirable

    • Experience within a Critical National Infrastructure environment is a plus.
    • Background in design assurance, regulatory engagement, or technical governance roles.
