ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to complement our existing delivery team based in Carlisle. The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience in the Mechanical Engineering sector along with the drive and passion to contribute to the expansion of the department as we strive towards becoming an outstanding provider of education and training.
You will be an excellent communicator, combined with advanced organisational skills and have the ability to work with people across a broad range of sectors. This role will compliment a strong existing team and build upon our vision for the future as we grow and develop.
You will possess a NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and must have relevant industry experience. Experience of working with or supporting apprentices is desirable. Recent relevant teaching experience along with a recognised teaching qualification is considered advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided from our outstanding teacher education department.
This role will be predominately based at Bendall's Engineering in Carlisle.

Qualifications
Level 3 Mechanical Engineering essential
Minimum Level 2 Maths and English qualification essential
Formal Teaching Qualification (Cert Ed/ PGCE / BA Ed) desirable
Degree in a relevant subject desirable
Hold an assessor qualification or be willing to work towards attaining desirable
Skills
Experience
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of subject area essential
Recent relevant teaching experience with good or outstanding observation grades
Experience in post 16 education / training including curriculum design, delivery, assessment and evaluation
Experience of delivering and developing Mechanical Engineering courses
An understanding of the Advanced Apprenticeship Framework and the funding process
Leadership
Ability to instill a strong sense of belief and accountablility in both staff and students
Focused on standards and positive outcomes
