Job Title: Automation Engineer

Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline
- 7 years of related experience in the assigned field of engineering, with exposure to project management and contractor management

- Strong knowledge of Instrument and Control / Instrument Engineering and industrial Instrument and Control
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of operations in petrochemical plants and related products
- Health, Safety and Security Management skills
- Conceptual and analytical skills
- Inventory management skills

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Execute all Automation Engineering aspects of assigned work for Instrument and Control systems in line with defined plans and quality standards
- Work according to established company policies and procedures, industry norms and best practices, using own initiative to answer technical queries and resolve problems
- Determine work methods from alternative existing methods in accordance with specialized policies and professional standards
- Lead a team of contractors to achieve unit objectives in line with HSE and quality standards
- Deliver work assignments which will be reviewed by the Principal Automation Engineer
- Work independently most of the time and/or as part of an integrated project, investigation, review, and audit team
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate all Instrument and Control systems engineering design; review Instrument and Control scope of assigned work, ensuring system architecture and configuration meet specifications
- Ensure Instrument and Control engineering activities are executed according to specification and within budget
- Carry out technical reviews for all areas of Instrument and Control engineering, evaluating requests, recommending appropriate solutions, and proposing changes as necessary
