MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform technical tasks assigned by Lead/Senior engineer on onshore or offshore feasibility, conceptual, basic engineering, FEED, detailed design and EPC/ EPCM projects.
  • Ensure the technical quality and accuracy of the work produced and the assigned tasks are completed on time.
  • Interface with other departments, clients, vendors, subcontractors and third parties as per Lead Engineers instructions.
  • Participate in inter-disciplines, project, client and vendor meetings when requested by the Lead Engineer.
  • Primary involvement in a typical project includes:
  • Develop process design basis; operating and control philosophy; isolation philosophy and safeguarding memorandum.
  • Perform process simulations/ calculations including heat and material balance; thermal design of exchanges; hydraulic calculations of piping networks and pipelines, blow down studies etc.
  • Perform piping, equipment and instruments (control valves and PSVs) selection and sizing and selection of control scheme.
  • Prepare equipment and instrument datasheets.
  • Prepare PFD, UFD & P&IDs
  • Prepare SAFE and Cause and Effect charts.
  • Prepare line list and tie-in list.
  • Prepare process equipment list.
  • Prepare process equipment list and deliverables.
  • Prepare report.
  • Go to site visits and prepare reports.


QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum Level I Professional Engineering License from the Engineering Council of Thailand (if any).
  • 0-5 years experience in Process engineering design in the Oil & Gas, Refineries, Chemical, Petrochemical or related industries. Up to three (3) years in operation in gas, oil or petrochemical industry is also valid for this post. Good University background in Thermodynamic, Mechanic of Fluids and Operation.
  • Highly motivated and attraction for computing and design activities.
  • Familiar with API, ASME and relevant standards and design codes
  • Familiar with typical Process simulation packages; HYSYS and/or Pro II, HTRI, Flarenet, Flare Sim, Pipe Sim, Pipe Net,
  • Experience in PFD, P&ID, Equipment and instruments (control valves and PSV's) selection and sizing, thermal design of heat exchangers.
