Your role and responsibilities
Our experienced service team ensures the availability and efficiency of facilities for a wide range of customers. To strengthen our team, we are looking for skilled and motivated service technicians (m/f/d) who can assist our customers with their expert knowledge. Your diverse responsibilities will include maintenance activities and complete repairs. If you enjoy being mobile and adaptable to new challenges, this is your opportunity to make a difference with us! You will primarily operate nationwide but will predominantly serve our customers in the north-east Germany area. Your telework location should ideally between the surrounding regions of Magdeburg and Berlin. Our service technicians will need to travel and stay overnight within this extensive geographic area to support our customers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: remote / onsite (customers) This role is contributing to the Robotics and Discrete Automation Business Area in Germany. You will be mainly accountable for: • Performing maintenance measures, with the possibility of occasional situational repairs • Inspecting the technical condition of robot systems, applications, and plant components • Precise execution of service orders, instructing other team members and external personnel, conducting and documenting test runs • Providing detailed customer advice on necessary repair measures using intelligent robot analysis technology • Ensuring customer and plant data, as well as creating detailed deployment reports and maintenance protocols • Implementing special repairs for our customers based on preventive measures from the manufacturer's factories • Administrative management, including the creation of reports and records for comprehensive documentation

Qualifications for the role
- Ability to demonstrate your experience in electrical engineering; working as a technician with electrical and robotic systems.
- Experience in project management is beneficial, especially on large-scale construction sites, where overseeing customers, the number of robots, personnel, materials, and time is crucial.
- You are passionate about independent, well-structured, and organized work styles and innovative project management.
- You are a dedicated team player with a strong customer orientation.
- Degree in electrical engineering or related field, such as an electrician or mechatronics technician.
- You are at ease communicating in fluent German and have a good command of written and spoken English.
