As a Senior Energy Engineer at Entech Engineering, you will assist our clients with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives across their organization. You will possess a deep understanding of energy systems, advanced analytical skills, and a proven track record in optimizing energy usage in all settings with a focus on state government, healthcare, state correctional facilities, and universities. This role involves conducting energy audits, designing, and implementing energy conservation measures, and ensuring compliance with environmental and energy regulations. The Senior Energy Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost-effective and environmentally sustainable energy solutions, making a significant impact on our client's energy performance and sustainability goals.
In addition, you will play a crucial role in our Planning Services team, focusing on Facility Condition Assessments, Energy, and Utility Design and Assessment. We guide our clients through complex decisions, especially when they are uncertain about what questions to ask or feel stuck at a crossroads. Your expertise will help them navigate these challenges by providing economic analysis and developing comprehensive business plans. These insights will be communicated through detailed written reports and compelling presentations. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys, perform data analysis, and produce comprehensive reports to support engineering projects.
- Develop and execute detailed energy audits, ensuring accurate calculations of energy savings and system efficiency.
- Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and cost-benefit analysis for proposed energy solutions.
- Responsible for system design, support of drawing production, and central system modeling.
- Lead the development and implementation of energy conservation projects and initiatives to achieve measurable energy savings.
- Provide expert consulting services to clients on energy management strategies, energy efficiency improvements, and sustainable practices.
- Mentor and lead junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, contractors, and external partners to drive project success.
Qualifications and education requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in campus central utilities planning and/or design, preferably steam and chilled water
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Building MEP planning and/or design
- Experience with energy management, planning or designing projects
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams to success
- Valid Driver's license required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, hydraulics, and heat transfer principles as applied to mechanical and/or energy systems.
- Experience working in the consulting industry
- Active Pennsylvania PE license preferred
- Previous work with energy performance contracts preferred
- Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD preferred
