The Subsea Pre-Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and executing project activities related to subsea pipelines pre-commissioning, including engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site operations.
This role is crucial in ensuring the successful execution of EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) contracts for subsea projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute pre-commissioning activities for subsea pipelines, including pigging, hydrotesting, chemical cleaning, and flushing operations.
- Manage engineering deliverables related to pre-commissioning, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Coordinate procurement activities for necessary equipment and materials required for pre-commissioning operations.
- Oversee fabrication and assembly activities related to subsea pipeline pre-commissioning tools and equipment.
- Conduct site operations and provide technical support during offshore installation and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality execution of pre-commissioning activities.
- Prepare pre-commissioning procedures, risk assessments, and operational plans in accordance with project requirements.
- Perform inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in subsea pre-commissioning activities within the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) contract environment.
Technical Knowledge:
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing subsea pipeline pre-commissioning activities, including pigging, hydrotesting, and chemical cleaning.
- Knowledge of relevant international codes, standards, and practices related to subsea pipeline pre-commissioning.
- Familiarity with offshore installation operations and associated safety practices.
