Engineering**The Technician will be working from one of our Midland offices and driving daily to service plants in the Permian Basin. The schedule is M-F 7:30 am - 4:00 pm including on call rotation and overtime as needed. Relocation assistance to the Midland or surrounding area is available.
JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
oOpportunity exists to expand scope of responsibility to include oversight of turboexpanders and refrigeration screw compression.
oPrior instrumentation and controls experience with burner management systems (BMS) and process control systems implemented on industry-standard PLC platforms (Honeywell SLATE, Allen-Bradley Guard Logix, Siemens SIMATIC, etc.) is preferred.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to understand electrical and instrumentation equipment associated with plant processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair compressor panel control wiring and associated devices.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical motor starter panels and motor issues also.
- Have working knowledge of how to read electrical schematics and P&ID's drawings.
- Be able to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Maintain and work on diverse types of control valves and transmitters.
- Knowledge of plc's and DCS troubleshooting.
- Be able to perform processing plants and field booster's preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Be able to work on electrical systems ranging from 12vdc to 4160 vac.
- Knowledge of electrical meters and diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Follow all company safety procedures and lockout and tag out procedures.
- Be able to work on related projects with different company groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide optimization, troubleshooting support, and coordination of vendor technical support for process equipment including, but not limited to thermal oxidizers, combustors, flares, and fired heaters.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver license required.
- Associate's degree in electrical/instrumentation OR 3 years of experience as and I/E tech in the gas processing industry and Gas Fire Heater Experience.
- Knowledge of midstream gas processing unit operations and equipment.
- Knowledge of fired equipment, including thermal oxidizers, combustors, flares and fired heaters.
- Be a self-starter and communicate with the I&E group on a daily basis.
- Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, and Ladder and P&ID'S process diagrams.
- Can trouble shoot complex electrical control systems and maintain instrumentation systems. Knowledge of instrumentation and the ability to troubleshoot issues associated with wiring, configuration, calibration, and/or electrical power (120 VAC and 24 VDC).
- Knowledge of PLC control system functionality and instrumentation interfaces.
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work and complete projects with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs to fulfill business objectives as needed.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in changing climate conditions.
- Able to work in close quarters: work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
- Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines: eye protection, footwear, 4-gas monitor, flame-resistant clothing).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years of experience as an I/E tech in the gas processing industry with a focus on Gas Fire Heater experience.
- Have the ability or knowledge to learn how to diagnose PLC problems.
- Understands how to read and translate the information found within all: PLC code, Schematic wiring, and Ladder and P&ID'S process diagrams.
- Can trouble shoot complex electrical control systems and to maintain instrumentation systems.
- Must be able to take call out on the rotation and work weekends if needed.
