Generator Shop Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, diagnosing preventive maintenance, and emergency services on stand-by power generation equipment.
Job Duties:
- Service, repair, modify, diagnosis and rebuild standby power generators ranging from 8.5kw- 3500kw.
- Perform failure analysis, service, and/or repairs
- Service a variety of power generation equipment and air compressors
- Check/repair all supporting systems such as fuel, cooling, and electrical systems
- Operation of load banks and recording of instrumentation
- Clean, check, recondition, and determine the reusability of used parts
- Keep current with product changes, specifications, and updates
- Compile all repair, maintenance, and estimates for the above-listed duties
Work Experience & Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of mechanic experience with similar diesel equipment and/or heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, and compressors)
- EGSA Certification (Preferred)
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
