EngineeringNES Fircroft are delighted to be partnering with a major Engineering Procurement Construction contractor who are looking to add a Technical Safety Engineer to join their team in Montigny le Bretonneux, Paris, France.
The role will be a contract based role for an initial 12 months duration. It offers the opportunity to work on a major clients FPSO project operating in a Deepwater Crude Oil development in Africa.
It will require a candidate to based in Paris, within that a work pattern of 3 days in office and 2 days working from home would be available.
Rates are negotiable depending on suitability and experience and will be paid on a day rate basis. For any candidates that would be relocating to Paris, there would be a monthly payment towards accommodation allowance.
Role overview
Technical safety / Loss Prevention Engineer working within a project assigned Technical Safety Team to bring support on Safety Studies / Risk Assessment activities on a project (fire risk, gas dispersion and explosion risk, ship collision, dropped objects, vent location studies...).
Required Skills & Competencies
• French and English speaking.
• Graduated from a Engineering School or from University in chemical processing, chemistry, physics or thermodynamics.
• First experience on safety studies related to process plant (upstream, downstream or process industry). Knowledge on accidental event modelling required.
• Knowledge of simulating tool like PHAST appreciated
