EngineeringWe are looking for a QHSE Supervisor for one of our clients with the following details:
Sector: Renewable Energy
Location: Creutzwald, France
Contract Duration: 32 months
Expected Start Date: March 2025
Required Skills
- Significant field experience on construction sites, ideally related to renewable energy.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to QHSE and solid QHSE competencies, particularly in risk analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and pedagogical qualities to implement a continuous improvement approach.
- Reactivity and ability to manage priorities, taking into account daily actions and their urgency.
- Autonomy and rigor.
- Proficiency in office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in French and a foreign language - at a minimum, English is necessary to communicate with foreign teams on detachment
Missions
Continuously monitor the safety level on construction sites through their presence on the ground:
- Ensure compliance with the use of appropriate PPE as specified in the dedicated PPSPS.
- Enforce safety instructions in accordance with regulations, PGC, PPSPS, and the client's QHSE standards.
- Personally assist in high-risk operations (cf. Life Saving Checks / 12 Golden Rules).
- Stop all high-risk operations in case of deviations and apply the Stop Card process:
- Stop
- Discuss
- Define corrective and preventive actions
- Restart
- Report via the Stop Card application or equivalent
- Ensure proper maintenance and updating of QHSE display panels and signage.
- Lead or have safety briefings (at least once daily) with subcontractors on-site.
- Collect and organize QHSE documentation for the site (PGC, PPSPS, Work Permits) for participants (CACES, driving authorization, training...), equipment (PPE, FDS, lifting accessories), and machinery (crane, forklift...) with particular attention to:
- Ensure ongoing operations are correctly recorded in the provided PPSPS (with corresponding procedures and risk analysis).
- Ensure proper classification and permanent presence on-site of all regulatory documents.
- Enforce regulations regarding detachment declarations (AR SIPSI and Form A1) through regular checks of detached team members.
- Ensure the collection of hours worked on-site by employees (Clarizen).
- Report all QHSE events (hazardous situations, near misses, first aid, accidents, environmental incidents, and material damage) as soon as they are identified, as well as good practices implemented on-site via the Stop Card application or equivalent.
- Participate in the analysis of events in support of the client's QHSE teams.
- Conduct drills (fainting, injuries, product spillage, fire outbreak, etc.) to test the response of operators on-site.
- Ensure environmental compliance by overseeing daily cleanliness and organization of the site.
- Ensure waste sorting compliance and collect all Waste Tracking Slips (BSD) and removal vouchers.
- Maintain the waste register.
- Ensure all chemicals that may cause pollution are stored in retention.
- Ensure the availability of pollution control kits in machinery and near chemicals.
Deliverables
The expected deliverables during a QHSE supervision mission are as follows (at minimum):
- 2 reports of QHSE events per week via the "Stop Card" application.
- 1 Safety Green Light report per company present on-site each week.
- 1 Weekly HSE Events Report.
- 1 Compliance Checklist for base life and site for the arrival of each lot (company).
- 1 Emergency Situation Drill (Environment or Safety) per month.
- Systematic Life Saving Check for excavation and lifting work + during high-risk operations.
All actions resulting from these deliverables must be included in the weekly report.
