EngineeringAirswift is looking for a Construction Technician to work with a major Oil and Gas company in a 12 month contract in Monahans, TX.

- Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR):
- Utilize FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) cameras to detect and document leaks in compressor stations.
- Coordinate with repair teams to ensure timely resolution of identified leaks and maintain compliance with environmental standards.
- Construction Coordination:
- Assist in planning and executing pipeline and facility construction activities by closely working with Facility Engineers, right-of-way teams, gas representatives, and field office personnel.
- Collaborate on the preparation of construction bid packages, including defining work scopes, reviewing drawings, establishing pricing structures, and ensuring standards and practices are clearly outlined.
- Contractor Management:
- Participate in contracting strategy development, including contractor bid invitations and evaluation.
- Assist with contractor selection and monitor contractor progress during construction.
- Support the invoice review and verification process for accuracy and compliance.
- Project Data Management:
- Organize, update, and maintain construction data, ensuring data reliability and accessibility.
- Compile, communicate, and provide essential construction information to relevant team members, keeping the construction team informed of project statuses.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient pipeline operation and achieve shared project objectives.
- Attend industry conferences and meetings to stay informed on technical developments that could improve construction processes or efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines, ensuring all construction and maintenance activities meet regulatory standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's Fleet Policy for all vehicle use during business activities.
Qualifications:
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for working with contractors, internal teams, and management.
- Task-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently or within a team.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of process flow and operations in production and compression equipment.
- General computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in construction, project coordination, LDAR, or maintenance within the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
