Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support technically the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the paint products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. Each day you will develop feasibility studies and simulations for proposals, prepare project and product quotations, present the solutions to the customer (including top management), represent ABB during site visits, communicating at all levels to ensure customer satisfaction, assisting sales personnel during customer visits and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the robots and associated equipment in their designated area of expertise. You will ensure the achievement of budget goals, including volume targets and profitable growth, across all assigned product groups and in the respective countries, Net Price Variance (NPV), and Net Promoter Score (NPS) In this role you will join the Paint Global Solution Center for Automotive Industries. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Business Area in Turin or Sesto San Giovanni. You will be mainly accountable for: • Offer technical advice and solutions on inquiries from customers/channels/Sales Specialists about ABB paint products/systems/applications. • Define cost for the proposed solution and communicates to the Sales organization. • Perform analytic and diagnostic studies to determine the optimal technical solution to meet customer needs and address complex inquiries. • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for both internal staff and customers on complex product issues. • Support the Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers. • Provide technical support to the Sales team during technical meetings, product presentations, and negotiations with customers and offers product/ solution/service-related training. • Analyze customer needs and competitor offers by leveraging general market information and insights provided by the Sales organization. • Prepare offers in coordination with the Engineering team and Manager and solutions presentations in coordination with the Sales team and Manager.

Qualifications for the role
- A solid and proven experience working as engineer or process expert in robotics and automation painting systems.
- Experience in proposal activities will be a plus.
- You are at ease communicating in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
- You have strong skills in customer experience management and pricing.
- Exceptional communication and negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset
- Experience in developing and implementing go-to-market strategies.
- Willingness to travel extensively in Europe, Africa, and South America
