The role
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance) to join our client's team in Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering maintenance engineering services that align with our clients' standards and meet regulatory requirements.
- Reviewing and optimizing maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Developing CMMS Maintenance Master Data based on client guidelines.
- Identifying critical spares and managing the register to maintain asset reliability.
- Conducting and refining Equipment Criticality Analysis.
- Auditing CMMS systems like SAP, MAXIMO, or JDE to ensure project-specific materials align with client standards.
- Preparing and updating Maintenance Work Instructions (PRT/MWI) for equipment upkeep.
- Providing technical guidance to team members, leading improvement initiatives based on recurring issues, and promoting open communication on safety, production, and improvement.
- Coordinating inspection programs for process piping, vessels, and equipment per Australian and international standards.
- Reviewing engineering specifications, implementing design modifications to improve plant reliability, and developing solutions to meet client needs.
What you'll need to succeed
- A recognized engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, or equivalent, with postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing maintenance improvement projects and managing diverse projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of maintenance engineering fundamentals, with experience in FMECA, RCA, and RCM.
- Proficiency in CMMS such as SAP, MAXIMO, or JDE for managing Maintenance Master Data and strategies.
- Familiarity with applicable local and international standards and regulations.
- A proactive, goal-oriented approach with strong attention to detail and customer focus.
- Change management skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in Python or R is desirable, as is previous experience within a maintenance organization.
