As the Field Service Network Engineer in Process System Solution business unit, your role will be to support our customers by delivering activities required for maintenance, solving and incident resolution, technical support, system upgrade, warranty services, training, performing configuration and/or modifications, on call services. You will become part of our Lifecycle Services team, which helps our customers carry out maintenance, improve security and reliability and boost performance on the latest information technology in the field of process automation. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • To perform tasks for system maintenance and performance evaluations.
  • To provide technical support to customers, make fixing, lead in investigation and provide and/or recommend solutions.
  • To provide remote (phone, internet) technical support assistance for System users on system architecture.
  • Be able and willing to perform on-call shift-based services (if applicable) and emergency call-out services to provide customers with fast and efficient services.
  • To assist in design studies, H/W & S/W upgrades & modifications.
  • To support project activities at customer site including system installation and application programming.
  • To provide on-site customer training for Emerson products.
  • Get trained with the latest technologies and/or products for which you will be performing services.


For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline, network and computing and/or Electronics Control and Instrumentation.
  • Knowledge on Information technology (IT) & Networking, Cyber Security, Virtualization, Programming Software, Operating Systems, Active Directory, Patch Management, Backup and Recovery.
  • Good communications skills and proficient in Italian and English - written and spoken.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Extensive knowledge on network architectures and administration, core network infrastructure components, wireless technology and fieldbus.
  • Start up and Commissioning Experience in the process automation.
  • Experience in our industry is an advantage (Network architecture, DCS (discrete control system), and field implementation
  • Willing to travel frequently.
  • Availability to work non-office hours, occasionally including weekends, to support customer and perform call-out services.
