We are seeking a skilled and reliable Sr. Generator Technician to join our team. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of backup power generators for residential and commercial clients. This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install new standby generators at customer locations, ensuring they meet all safety codes, manufacturer specifications, and quality standards.
- Electrical & Plumbing Work: Connect the generator to electrical systems, fuel lines, and exhaust systems; troubleshoot and address electrical or plumbing issues as necessary.
- Testing: Perform system tests and troubleshoot to ensure proper generator operation.
- Maintenance: Provide routine maintenance and repairs on generators to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service, clearly explaining installation procedures, safety tips, and maintenance needs to clients.
- Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and adhere to local, state, and federal regulations regarding generator installation and operation.
- Documentation: Complete detailed service records and install reports for each job, ensuring accurate documentation of services performed.

Specific Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in generator installation or a related field (electrical, HVAC, etc.) preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, fuel systems, and mechanical systems.
- Certifications: OSHA certification, electrical or mechanical trade certifications, or a relevant technical degree is a plus.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in varying weather conditions, and perform tasks that require physical labor.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; some travel may be required.
- Attention to Detail: Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific generator brands (e.g., Kohler, Generac, Cummins, etc.)
- Background in electrical or mechanical trades.
