Role Overview
- Lead environmental permitting strategies and applications for new pipeline construction and operation.
- Manage environmental studies and engage with third-party consultants and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence project deliverables and provide updates to project management.
- Implement environmental risk management processes during early concept development.
- Interface with Lead Environmental & Regulatory Specialist for transition planning.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry.
- Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Strong project management skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
- Organizational skills to prioritize and maintain project and permitting requirements.
- Ability to work from both the Baytown, TX field office (60%) & Houston, TX downtown office (40%).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field required.
- Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred.
- 10 years of experience supporting environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry preferred, but minimum 5 years required.
