Airswift is working with a leading company for an Environmental Permitting Specialist to work between Baytown, TX (60%) and Houston, TX (40%) for a 12-month contract with benefits! (hybrid schedule).

Role Overview

• Lead environmental permitting strategies and applications for new pipeline construction and operation.
• Manage environmental studies and engage with third-party consultants and regulatory agencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence project deliverables and provide updates to project management.
• Implement environmental risk management processes during early concept development.
• Interface with Lead Environmental & Regulatory Specialist for transition planning.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry.
• Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Strong project management skills and ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Organizational skills to prioritize and maintain project and permitting requirements.
• Ability to work from both the Baytown, TX field office (60%) & Houston, TX downtown office (40%).

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering or related field required.
• Experience with midstream/pipelines and major capital project development preferred.
• 10 years of experience supporting environmental regulatory permitting and compliance in the energy industry preferred, but minimum 5 years required.
