Requirements:
- Degree or degree-level equivalent qualification in an HSE related discipline (H&S, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Biology, Construction or similar)
- Must have Major Emergency Management (MEM) Training or Incident Command System Training (ICS 100, ICS 200, ICS 300 etc.)
- Desired NEBOSH certificate qualification (or equivalent) with at least 10 years proven experience in an Emergency Response capacity within the Oil & Gas (or similar high hazard) industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Define clear Incident Command and Crisis Management protocols and procedures. Support the Crisis Management Team (CMT) in managing large-scale incidents and emergencies.
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) for all operations in collaboration with key departments.
- Align ERPs with local regulations, international standards, and company HSE policies, ensuring compliance with national requirements and industry best practices.
- Arrange comprehensive training programs and updated documentation to prepare GB personnel for Incident Command and Crisis Management scenarios.
- Organize emergency response training for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Support and oversee drills and simulations (e.g., fire, spill, medical emergencies) to evaluate readiness.
- Document training sessions, drills, and lessons learned to ensure continuous improvement.
- Assist site teams in implementing and testing emergency response procedures tailored to site-specific risks and controls.
- Collaborate with HSE teams to ensure site-specific plans align with corporate ER policies.
- Act as the primary liaison between the head office and operational sites regarding emergency preparedness.
