Role Definition
The HSE Manager forms part of the Delivery team and is responsible for contributing to and overseeing the accurate scheduling of all project activity. The Senior Planning Manager is responsible for keeping up to date the associated Integrated Master Schedules (IMS's), proactively communicating actions needed to stay on programme, QSRA, Customer SOQ and SME engagement, and also owns accountability for third party planners engaged by the business.
The Planning Manager, through their leadership and subject matter expertise, is therefore responsible for assuring that Pure is consistently best placed to deliver efficient and effective construction projects through the timely, transparent and accurate scheduling of activity. While also communicating, enabling, and supporting, in the mitigating of risks of delay.
Accordingly, the role holder will own overall the development of our construction planning offering, growing the capability and influence of the planning function within the business, and improving our processes and controls infrastructure.

Indicative Core Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Support Project Directors in the procurement of third-party planning services, defining business need and onboarding contractors so as to efficiently enable time to value add. Putting in place appropriate ongoing assurance.
- Define and implement quality assurance measure and reporting, ensuring that all planning/scheduling activity is measured against best practice industry standard, and that peer level review is put into place.
- Undertake ongoing reviews of planning/scheduling controls and infrastructure, auditing compliance across all projects, and as required implementing remedying actions. Ensuring that Pure's planning offering is industry benchmarked.
- Undertake regular consolidated programme level reviews and dashboard reporting of IMS's, including float and dependency analysis, respective and cumulative S curve trending. Ensure that compliance through the project to program hierarchy is in place, and that programme level reporting aligns to the Business's requirements.
- Regularly attend site/meetings to ensure own first-hand awareness of status/flagged concerns across all projects where additional support and input is needed. Using own technical expertise to tactically influence change, while also supporting the Planning Management team to grow in influence.
- Progressively review project planning documents, processes and controls. Seek out automation opportunities. Maintain version relevance and controls.
- Undertake project planning activities, providing cover and point of escalation for the day-to-day maintenance of the IMS. Working with Planning and wider business/third party stakeholders as required to assure project delivery and risk mitigation.

- Proven practical proficiency of Primavera P6 and oracle Primavera Cloud for programming/scheduling /QSRA/ analytics.
- Practical application as a tool of Microsoft Office Suite

- Previous experience in a similar role within DC Construction, with similar scale, scope and responsibility
- Familiarity with DC Customer requirements for schedule reporting, BoS and QSRA

Responsibilities
- Overall planning/scheduling responsible for an allocated number of projects across the stage-gated construction lifecycle, Pre-construction through to Construction by jurisdiction.
- To create, and maintain, the timely accuracy of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) covering the project lifecycle and supported by a relevant document library utilising Pure's control document suite and adhering to Pure's project delivery governance. This suite of documents to be viewed in isolation so as to inform the timely management of project activity, and also in cumulation with wider project delivery to show a programme/portfolio level view of activity and status. Indirect management of the project planner allocated per project that reports to the Project Director to ensure Pure standards are adhered to and reported internally to Pure.
- Regularly attend site capturing and recording updates overall on their allocated projects with the local allocated planner (External), and aligning of current activity of actual vs plan. Ensuring that the site report is incorporated in subsequent overall jurisdiction reporting and planning, and filed for future reference/lessons learned.
- Partner with Pure's appointed contractors, External planner allocated to each project, continually reviewing delivery schedules and maintaining own close awareness through the IMS of; key issues, risks and critical path activities. Ensuring these are reflected accurately and with time dependency on all project scheduling and timeline reporting.
- Partnering with Pure's Project and Program Managers (This can also involve Pure's appointed External Consultants) to ensure that there is clear and timely awareness of any potential change to; timeline, critical path, or risk profile. And supporting them in ensuring that appropriate mitigation or exception can be mapped to our scheduling plans so as to assure the accuracy of our reporting.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to demonstrate how own subject matter expertise, and awareness of the end-to-end delivery schedule, can be best used to appropriately and effectively challenge adverse movement of timings, and how tactical rescheduling of activity can mitigate overall exposure to delays and/or risk to the delivery schedule.
- To produce a regular cycle of management reporting for use as part of the project and programme management lifecycle, inclusive of capturing IMS status and movement in period, actions taken/pending, changes to risk/mitigation profile, contractor performance oversight etc.
- Maintain consistently accurate issue and version control on all documents, images and timelines/project plans (IMS), in order that these can be viewed chronologically as an auditable document trail. Ensuring these are consistently compliance with Pure's document control governance process and procedure.
- Partner with project and programme managers to draft appropriately detailed responses to contractor for requests to change scheduling. Incorporating commentary to support of Pure's response rationale, and setting our clear actions and measures in order that best outcomes can be achieved and tracked.
