We are seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Engineer to champion a zero-accident culture and drive continuous improvement of our H&S management system and performance. This is a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence across our manufacturing environment.
This role reports directly to the QHSE Manager and works collaboratively with all departments across the business. The successful candidate will act as a key partner in embedding health and safety practices into daily operations, ensuring alignment between teams and fostering a culture of shared responsibility for workplace safety.
As a Health & Safety Engineer, you will play a central role in ensuring that all operations are fully compliant with applicable legislation, Rotork standards, and ISO9001 requirements. You will be responsible for proactively identifying hazards, conducting thorough risk assessments, and ensuring that corrective actions and training are implemented and documented to demonstrate compliance. A key part of the role will be to report and investigate accidents promptly, identifying root causes and driving effective measures to prevent recurrence. You will also manage internal and external audits, oversee corrective actions, and ensure that all equipment is properly registered, maintained, and inspected to meet compliance standards.

Qualifications & Technical Knowledge
Essential:
NEBOSH Certificate (MVK).
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of Dutch legislation.
Excellent problem-solving skills (CAPA, 8D, 5 Whys).
Proven ability to assess and upgrade systems and procedures.
Lead auditor ISO9001.
Desirable:
NEBOSH Diploma (HVK).
Lead auditor qualification ISO9001.
Personal Specification
Ability to influence workers at all levels and build positive working relationships to drive improvement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with internal and external stakeholders at any level.
Languages: Dutch and English required.
