Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead daily site inspections, including construction sites and facilities.
• Assist the HSE Lead in promoting and supporting the effective delivery of HSE induction and training programs to the project workforce.
• Advise the management team on site safety requirements and their implementation.
• Verify the implementation of the Permit to Work system and pre-start briefings at work locations under his responsibility.
• Carry out scheduled daily and weekly site inspections with the Safety Officer and Construction Supervisor assigned to the site locations.
• Maintain accurate and well-organized health and safety inspection and training records for his area of responsibility.
• Report any unsafe conditions, unsafe acts, and incidents/injuries arising from work activities to the HSE Lead.
• Prepare presentations on health and safety performance, including injury rates, lost-time incidents, and near misses.
• Work collaboratively with Construction Managers and Engineers to address health and safety concerns.
• Review MSRA documents and ensure HSE compliance during site setup.
• Assist in organizing health and safety meetings and site visits.
• Manage and monitor a team of HSE Officers and Inspectors at the site.
• Conduct safety meetings, HSE awareness sessions, and training programs when required.
• Prepare inspection reports and issue instructions to the Construction Team, HSE Officers, and HSE Inspectors to rectify unsafe acts and working conditions.
• Achieve assigned objectives by setting individual goals, managing performance, and developing and motivating staff.

Qualifications

• Holding a NEBOSH IGC certificate
• Minimum 12 years' experience (with at least 5 years of delivery at the level of HSE supervisor)
• Expertise in conducting technical HSE Inspections and recommending corrective actions.
• Expertise in supervising and guiding his team.
• Expertise in drafting inspection and observation reports.
