At DeveEnergy, safety is not a department - it's part of who we are. As our HSE and Quality Specialist, you will be a key ambassador of our culture, working at the heart of our projects to ensure every person goes home safe, every day.

You will lead HSE performance on site, supporting field teams to operate in full compliance with local legislation, client requirements, and DeveEnergy standards. Alongside your site presence, you will also play an important back-office and coordination role, developing HSE documentation, ensuring Quality and HSE project documents, reporting, and project data are accurate, current, and aligned with project milestones.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Leads, and our central operations team to embed HSE into every phase of delivery - from planning through to completion. Your work will help shape safer behaviours, smarter processes, and stronger project outcomes.

How You Will Make a Difference

• Develop, maintain, and coordinate the project HSE plans, ensuring all elements are communicated, implemented, and tracked across the project lifecycle.
• Act as the HSE focal point for the projects, coordinating with project management, engineering, and operations teams to integrate safety into daily planning and execution.
• Conduct site audits, inspections, and observations, producing clear reports, tracking actions, and supporting continuous improvement.
• Support incident management, Near Miss reporting, investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), ensuring timely follow-up, learning, and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate back-office HSE records including training logs, inductions, permits, incident data, and compliance documentation.
• Develop and deliver project-specific site inductions and orientation training for all personnel, ensuring everyone understands site rules, risks, and expectations.
• Manage training requirements and provide classroom-based HSE training as required.
• Review and coordinate customer permit systems, including LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space, lifting plans, and site posting requirements.
• Support emergency preparedness by ensuring response plans, drills, and equipment are in place and effective.
• Contribute to project coordination by aligning HSE activities with project schedules, mobilisations, and site milestones.
• Provide back-office support for project planning coordination in all areas, including HSE and Quality.

Special Role Requirements

• Ability to travel extensively between projects and assignments.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when required.
• Comfortable spending extended periods away from home during project delivery phases.
• Willingness to undergo a background and reference check.

Skills for Success

• You are an HSE professional with strong knowledge of safety legislation and familiarity with OHSA, HSE and EU-OSHA regulations.
• You combine a visible site presence with strong organizational and coordination skills.
• NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent), or currently working towards a recognized occupational safety qualification.
• Experience within power generation, energy, or heavy industrial environments (preferred).
• Strong administrative and reporting skills, with confidence managing data, documentation, and action tracking.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and balance site demands with back-office responsibilities.
• Fluency in English.
