At Eni, we are looking for an HSE Advisor within Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V. in The Hague. You will be responsible for developing and implementing Health, Safety, Environment and Process Safety strategies, policies and procedures in line with Eni's HSE guidelines and Dutch legislation; providing expert advice to ensure effective control, monitoring and mitigation of risks affecting people, assets and the environment; ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, statutory requirements and Eni standards; and maintaining the HSE Management System's alignment with Eni's Model for Corporate Responsibility (Italian Legislative Decree No. 231) in matters of health, safety and environmental protection.
About Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V.
Eni Netherlands CCUS B.V. has the ambition to be a key CCS player in the Netherlands and plays an integral role in the Aramis Value Chain via its L10-CCS project. With a total storage capacity of approximately 100 MT, it is currently the largest Co2 store in the Dutch North Sea. L10-CCS is aiming to start Co2 injection for storage by 2030 and is a key infrastructure in the Dutch energy landscape, playing an essential role for decarbonisation of North West Europe, particularly with regards to hard-to-abate sectors.

Main Responsibilities:
- Support Eni Netherlands CCUS Management in applying relevant HSE legislation, Eni guidelines and industry best practice.
- Support the application of Corporate Responsibility legislation (Italian Legislative Decree No. 231) on matters relating to health, safety and environmental protection.
- Support the governance of HSE issues across all operated and non-operated activities and exploration and development projects.
- Ensure an HSE Management System aligned with Eni policies and guidelines is established, maintained, implemented and verified for compliance and effectiveness, including periodic validation audits.
- Co-ordinate work to maintain compliance of the HSE Management System with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 requirements and maintain external certification.
- Promote the use of appropriate Risk Management and Process Safety tools across projects and operations.
- Ensure Risk and Change Management policies, strategies and frameworks are in place to identify, assess, control and monitor risks and opportunities.
- Promote a lifecycle-based approach in projects and operations, considering community and stakeholder constraints.
- Ensure methodologies and tools for managing concurrent and simultaneous operations, as well as operational handover, are developed and applied.
- Establish methodologies and monitoring tools to implement Process Safety measures that maintain asset integrity throughout their lifecycle.
- Engage suppliers and contractors in programmes that meet Eni's expectations and performance standards in HSE management.
- Establish and maintain performance-monitoring tools, including those for non-conformances, corrective actions, audits and reviews.
- Ensure effective data collection and reporting on Eni Netherlands CCUS BV HSE performance.
- Ensure all internal, external, voluntary and statutory HSE reporting is completed on time and to the required quality.
- Co-ordinate HSE Management Review meetings to monitor performance and set objectives and targets.
- Ensure Emergency Response plans, systems and organisations are established, maintained and exercised.
- Ensure lessons learned are captured and applied.
- Review accident reports and instigate or participate in investigations.
- Maintain effective representation in relevant industry bodies.
- Ensure adherence to the company's Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures and standards.
- Comply fully with the Eni Code of Ethics and Law 231 principles.
Skills and experience required:
- Science degree, plus a relevant professional qualification in HSE (preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of the Dutch and North Sea oil & gas industry, with both onshore and offshore experience.
- Extensive practical experience in formulating and developing HSE and Process Safety strategies, policies and procedures within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong practical knowledge of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards related to HSE.
- Experience across all relevant HSE and Process Safety issues, including auditing.
- Experience in developing and implementing a wide range of HSE-related performance-monitoring tools.
- Experience representing the company's interests in HSE matters with government bodies and regulators across the oil & gas industry.
- Previous relevant experience in a management role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
- Results-oriented mindset with practical thinking and accountability.
- Proven leadership ability, including managing and guiding others.
- Adaptable, flexible and effective in multicultural environments.
