An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HSE Project Manager to join the HSE Compliance Team in the UK.
The Rolls-Royce Group HSE organisation supports the Business in driving down risk to people & the environment through a regional and divisional support model. Acting as the conscience for the function, the role of the Compliance team is to help ensure the HSE Function delivers what we say we will, when we say we will, and that we do this effectively, efficiently and to a high standard.
The HSE Compliance team oversees the delivery of effective, timely and professional support to the Divisions & Functions and drives functional compliance to HSE governance, risk, assurance, reporting and investigation requirements.
To facilitate this, the HSE Compliance team maintains robust governance and assurance processes, leads on setting policy and strategic direction for HSE improvement, target setting, performance monitoring and reporting.
The HSE Project Manager will project manage critical HSE programmes to drive delivery of risk-based, strategic, timebound improvements. You will ensure delivery of HSE global improvements defined through the generation of the new HSE strategy and Business Plan Deployment.
What you will be doing:
As HSE Project Manager, you will take the lead in enabling delivery of structured Global HSE improvement programmes, this role will be responsible for working with programme owners from the HSE function and engaging with other key stakeholders to ensure improvements are delivered to plan, with the engagement of interested parties and subject to appropriate governance throughout. What you will be doing:

- Managing a small team of HSE Change & Improvement Advisors to ensure all key improvement projects have adequate project support.
- Supporting improvement owners to develop structured, time-bound, achievable improvement plans and helping keep them on track to ensure delivery.
- Establishing, developing and maintaining the necessary documentation to support delivery of the project.
- Motivating and advising improvement owners to deliver the project's objectives.
- Working with action owners to develop recovery plans where improvement programmes are at risk of non- or late delivery.
- Identifying and escalating delivery risks to the Head of HSE Compliance.
- Helping programme owners identify stakeholders impacted by improvement programmes & ensure adequate communication plans to keep them informed.
- Supporting programme owners in managing budget assigned to the improvement project.
- Supporting programme owners in adequate reporting of programme status including inputs for the Executive Team and Safety, Energy Transition and Technology committee papers.
- Reporting to the HSE Leadership Team on Programme progression and any additional support required.
Basic and preferred qualifications:
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject.
Preferred requirements:
- 3+ years of project management or project coordination experience.
- Previous experience in programme management of Health, Safety or Environmental improvement projects.
- Excellent Stakeholder engagement experience.
- Exceptional organisational skills
