The Role

As the Senior HSE Culture and Training Lead you will lead the transformation of HSE culture across the organisation, shifting teams from a compliance-driven mindset to a proactive, learning-oriented and risk-focused way of working. You will be responsible for embedding Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention and strengthening critical risk management by shaping leadership behaviours and ensuring that risk is understood, communicated and managed effectively at all levels. The role also designs and delivers global HSE training and Safety Leadership programmes that build capability, enhance engagement and drive measurable behavioural change across diverse operational environments.

You will provide coaching and guidance to senior leaders and HSE professionals to strengthen decision-making, ownership and accountability for safety. You will use data, insights and learning systems to assess cultural maturity, track performance and target improvement efforts, ensuring consistent progress across regions. The role also drives technology-enabled HSE performance by leveraging digital tools, dashboards and modern learning platforms to support behavioural insight, improve decision quality and simplify the delivery of HSE initiatives.

DESIRABLE SKILLS
  1. Bachelor's degree in Organisational Psychology, Occupational Health & Safety, or another relevant field.
  2. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent advanced HSE qualification is highly desirable, with a strong grounding in modern, risk-based HSE and Serious Injury Prevention principles.
  3. Formal coaching qualification or demonstrable executive coaching experience, with the ability to influence, challenge and support senior leaders through behavioural change.
  4. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt highly desirable; Green Belt or other continuous improvement certification is an advantage.
  5. Proven experience designing and leading organisational culture, leadership or performance transformation programmes within complex, multi-national environments.
  6. Strong exposure to high-risk operational sectors (e.g. renewables, utilities, construction, infrastructure), with the credibility to connect operational reality to culture and leadership interventions.
  7. Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training and leadership programmes that drive measurable behavioural and performance change.
  8. Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are beneficial but not essential.
