Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF), a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, is a leading provider of engineering, fabrication, and construction services for the oil & gas sector. We are seeking a proactive and safety-conscious HSE Officer to join our team and ensure that all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting a culture of safety across projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines on-site.

• Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare reports with recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.

• Organize and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for staff and contractors.

• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.

• Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation for compliance and audits.

• Coordinate with management, project teams, and clients on HSE matters.

• Promote continuous improvement in safety culture, procedures, and practices.

• Assist in emergency response planning and implementation of preventive measures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the HSE Manager or Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of HSE experience in oil & gas, fabrication, or industrial projects.

• Certifications: NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications preferred.

• Knowledge of UAE safety regulations and international HSE standards.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective measures effectively.

• Proficient in MS Office and HSE reporting tools.

• Fluency in English (mandatory); Arabic is an advantage.

About the Team

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory

Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (ASMEF) was established in 2009 with the aim of catering to the Marine and Oil & Gas Industry in the UAE. Located in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, the factory features one of the largest facilities of its kind in the country, comprising a 280,000m2 yard and a 545m waterfront.

It's the closest yard to the Abu Dhabi Oil Fields, giving it a highly strategic location with good access to onshore and offshore fields alike. The facility allows Ali & Sons to easily serve local and overseas markets thanks to its close proximity to UAE borders.
