Your opportunity

We're currently looking for an EHS Specialist for our Flexible Packaging Italian Site in Carbonara Scrivia (AL). In this position.

You'll report directly to the EHS Manager of the Site, dealing with Environmental, Health and Safety topics, focusing on continuous improvement in standards and supporting in spreading safety culture, by setting a good example, by carrying out systematic checks to ensure that legal regulations and company rules are followed, and facilities and personal protective equipment are used properly.

You will be located at our site in Carbonara Scrivia (AL) and you should be within reasonable commuting distance from here.

What you'll be doing

H&S

• Support Safety programs and update ISO 45001 management system
• Conduct periodical risk assessments reviews, inspections, and audits
• Manage contactors documentation (valutazione idoneità tecnico - professionale, redazione DUVRI, riunioni di coordinamento, vigilanza mediante sopralluoghi) according to the D.Lgs 81/08 e s.m.i.
• Collect and classify accidents and Near miss tracking corrective actions
• Oversee PPEs and emergencies management
• Support in investigations and reporting in case of accident or Near miss
• Support in the implementation of Corporate policies and procedures
• Contribute to spread Safety culture through company initiatives
• Act as ASPP with solid knowledge of Italian H&S law

Environment

• Support Environmental programs and ISO 14001 management system
• Support in supervision of permitting requirements regarding waste, emissions, and water discharges
• Prepare annual environmental reporting and updates compliance tools
• Act as back-up person for waste processes (RENTRI)
• Oversee contractors during environmental measurements
• Participate in environmental drills and training programs

What you'll bring to the role

• The skills deriving from your High school diploma with a technical focus or Bachelor Degree in "Tecniche della Prevenzione nell'Ambiente o nei Luoghi di Lavoro" or Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering or Chemistry or Environmental Sciences
• At least 2/3 year experience in the role
• Fluent English
• Good ability to communicate, to spread and maintain in a convincing way safety culture
• Strong ability to recognize potential losses and manage different and various tasks
• Ability to think across functions
• Analytical ability, methodical and procedural approach
• Ability to question the status quo
• Oriented to results
• Ability to work in a team and manage stress
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data and information
