An exciting opening has arisen for a sustainability intern to join our Sustainability team in Italy, which is part of Ramboll's Environment & Health Market. This group consists of like-minded individuals who are passionate about Environment, Health and Safety topics and assisting Ramboll's clients with their most challenging problems.

Ramboll's professionals in Italy offer clients an enviable blend of technical, scientific and regulatory expertise in environmental sciences and engineering, energy and climate change, and health and safety. Our strong technical capabilities, in-depth knowledge of the social, economic and legal aspects of our clients' issues, and top-notch communication skills position us to identify, deliver and present innovative solutions. We support clients across a broad spectrum of issues, including environmental due diligence, investigation and remediation of contaminated land, impact assessment and permitting, mandatory compliance issues oversight, current performance improvement and future risk reduction, sustainability strategy and ESG assessments.

We are passionate about the green transition, circular economy, sustainable finance, and social sustainability. We specialize in business and sustainability consulting within the sectors of energy, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, waste, and water where we advise both private companies and the public sector. In doing so, we provide sustainability strategies, financial advisory and implementation as a one-stop shop for our clients. We believe that the true value of our offerings arises from the ability to combine traditional business and strategy consulting with true sustainability expertise within the same team to provide one coherent solution addressing both issues at once.

Your new role

As our new Sustainability Intern Junior Analyst, you are highly organized and able to work efficiently and effectively to deadlines on designated tasks, demonstrate attention to details and a high level of accuracy, self-motivated, reliable and dedicated individual. This interesting and challenging job in an innovative, fast-paced, growing company offers a wide variety of development opportunities and the possibility to work in a dynamic international consulting environment from our Italian offices.

Your key responsibilities will be:•
  • Support in ESG advisory projects (e.g. Strategy, Materiality assessments, Management system integrations, NDF Reporting, etc)
  • Sustainable economics, finance, and ESG - such as: EU Taxonomy alignment and roadmap, ESG screening and assessment, CSRD reporting
  • Support in energy and climate transition projects, including familiarity with national and international policies and scenarios for the decarbonisation•
  • Support in Climate Risk & Impact Assessment projects
  • Support in ESG Due Diligence projects.

Your new team

You will be part of the Environment & Health division team composed by geologists, engineers, environmental scientists, chemists, biologists, etc. working together in an international network for a variety of projects regarding mainly contaminated site management, expert services, permitting, due diligence, impact assessment, water treatment, health and safety, climate risk and sustainability. You will contribute to a sustainable future in an open, collaborative and empowering culture.

You will be part of the Environmentl&Health department in Italy. You will work as part of a lively team, filled with people who are really excited about creating the sustainable options of the future. Our team is vibrant, innovative, international, and supportive. You will collaborate with your colleagues to play a critical role in defining and delivering on projects that involve multiple clients in countries across Europe.

About you

These include:
  • First of all, being a genuine sustainability professional, passionate and enthusiastic
  • Currently studying or graduate, typically within business/economics with master's degrees related to ESG issues, or environmental or energy engineering or other related discipline
  • Post-graduate study in sustainability matters and climate-energy transition will be considered as a plus
  • Capable of communicating & producing clear and concise written documents in Italian language (mother tongue) and Englis
  • A structured approach with strong analytical and conceptual capabilities
  • Ability to work independently, but at the same time be a team player
  • Experience in using PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
