Job Description
Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies and procedures on construction sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance issues.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local labor laws, OSHA, ISO 45001, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain records of safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and monitor site conditions (scaffolding, lifting operations, confined spaces, hot works).
• Support emergency preparedness and evacuation planning.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the workforce.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in construction projects (civil, mechanical, or infrastructure).
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, risk management, and hazard control.
• Familiarity with international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
