Team Overview:
The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) department is dedicated to ensuring the wellbeing of all employees, contractors, and visitors across every project and site. They develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, risk assessments, and compliance with legal and industry standards. By fostering a strong safety culture and promoting environmental responsibility, the HSE team plays a critical role in protecting people, reducing incidents, and supporting sustainable business practices throughout Alternative Heat.
Role Overview:
General assistance and support to the Site Teams, ensuring safe practice, quality & environmental compliance is all being controlled in a safe environment. Liaising with Principle Contractors and Client ensuring the correct policies are being followed, including your attendance on any site H&S walks and daily briefs

What You'll be Doing
Provide HSEQ advice and support to employees, contractors, and the public while building strong working relationships and promoting a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. Develop and implement safe systems of work (including RAMS), carry out site inspections, and investigate incidents to identify and apply improvements. Maintain awareness of team roles, attend relevant meetings, and ensure all work is completed professionally in line with HSE legislation and company management systems. Communicate effectively and represent the company in a professional, cooperative manner, deliver toolbox talks, monitor first aid and spill kit provision, uphold high departmental standards, and carry out any additional duties required by management.
