Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £37,000-£42,600FTE, depending upon qualifications, skills and experience, plus £2,400 travelallowance p.a.

Working hours Monday-Friday37.5 hours per week

Therole

This is a new role within theNorthamptonshire Cluster at United Learning. This role is to lead on health and safety, support the effectivemanagement of estates and building compliance across the cluster. The post-holder will work closely with theCluster Estates Manager to ensure that the school sites are safe,well-maintained and fully compliant with statutory requirements. During school holiday periods, the role willalso provide operational support for site projects, refurbishments works andcontractor management.

Flexibility is essential within thisrole with the opportunity to work from home where appropriate as well as regular,scheduled visits to the sites of the four schools within the cluster.

The Cluster Estates team currentlycomprises the Estates Manager and Estates Coordinator who work in closepartnership with the individual schools' facilities management teams, seniorleadership teams and other cluster-level colleagues.

The Northamptonshire cluster schools areKettering Buccleuch Academy, Northampton Academy, Campion School and MontsayeAcademy.

AboutYou

You will have experience with Health andSafety management and will be responsible for carrying out regular siteinspections, audits and compliance checks. You will have a desire to attain the highest possible standards in thework that you do. You have excellentorganisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative and beconfident and comfortable in acting as a key point of contact for externalauditors, inspectors and enforcement officers (HSE, Fire Service, insuranceetc.). You will be able to prioritiseyour workload effectively and have excellent communication and IT skills and beable to exercise your role with discretion and confidentiality.

A NEBOSH General Certificate (orequivalent) and IOSH Managing Safely is required plus evidence on ongoing CPDin H&S or estates management.
