Job Description

• Investigates accidents/incidents,determines root causes and measures necessary to prevent a recurrence inline with the Company's accident investigation and reporting procedure.
• Orders the sealing off of areas, ifa danger or unsafe condition is evident
• Develops and conducts regularsafety & firefighting training programs both in class andfirefighting drills to all field-based personnel according to companyfire training schedules
• Provides advice to field/terminalpersonnel on the implementation of safe working systems and on theavailability and use of protective equipment.
• Provides expert firefighting advicein the event of a fire break out, and leads firefighting and rescueoperations
• Maintains records andstatistics on accidents or incidents causing a breach of safetyregulations.
• Submits various reportsand statistics in periodic safety meetings

• Inspects newequipment/process prior to commissioning, reviews related designs andinstallation plans to ensure conformity to company safety standards andregulations

• Sets stock level forsafety & loss prevention materials and spares in conjunction with commercialsupport division
• Participates in settingspecifications and descriptions of new equipment to be ordered
• Prepares materialdemands/ requisitions for safety & fire equipment and spare parts

• Participates in setting thespecifications and descriptions of new fire equipment/systems to be orderedand supervises their installation and commissioning

• Performs other duties assigned byimmediate superior as & when required

Requirements

5 years'experience in GCC with a similar position in Roads and Infrastructureproject

Excellent skills in writingtechnical reports in English

Fully aware of all ISO 9001, 14001and OHSAS 18001 regulation standards
