This role will lead the implementation of Health, Safety, Security, and environment (HSSE) strategies and plans for the respective HSSE activities in line with the company’s HSSE policy, guidelines and procedures, and other related governance to achieve excellent HSSE performance in safeguarding the people, environment, assets, and reputation.
Essential Functions:
1. LEAD THE DEVELOPMENT OF HSE PERFORMANCE REPORT
Lead the development of scheduled HSE performance report through highlighting issues, following trend and recommending necessary solutions which will be used as a basis for management decision making in instituting effective incident prevention initiatives and programs. Maintain the population data in the Online HSE (iHSE, MyHSE, etc.) System through ensuring the data is current and up to date in order to accurately monitor and track HSE Performance.
2. HSE TRAINING AND COMPETENCY
Provide HSE training related to HSSE Performance throughout the Country, including Contractors, through prudent monitoring and update of training data to enhance awareness and HSE competency on incident investigation, system, and process.
3. HSE ACTION ITEM (HSERAI) & OFFICE SAFETY
Drive and lead HSE Action items through verifying, tracking, and finding matters arising from HSE Management System and recommending intervention plans to HSE Committee in order to achieve excellent HSE performance in safeguarding the people, environment, assets and reputation. Lead the implementation of office safety & security program through specific safety requirements, compliance to guideline and routine checking of facilities by respective parties in order to achieve zero accident/ incident and to safeguards company’s assets.
4. HSE STANDARDS AND PROCEDURES & HSSE PLAN AND INITIATIVES
Ensuring the enforcement of the established HSE documentation through effective knowledge and data management system and integrated HSE system to ensure the HSE knowledge, information and lesson learnt are captured and institutionalized in the Country. Lead the implementation of HSSE plan and initiatives in line with Upstream HSE strategic plan and objectives through ensuring compliance to Upstream Business and statutory requirements to support the business goals and objectives.
5. SECURITY MANAGEMENT
Plan and manage the implementation of all security activities for South Sudan office guarding system, safety system for all personnel onboard, (including staff, expatriates and guests e.g. VVIP/VIPs, etc.) asset protection, emergency planning, readiness of Emergency Control Centre (ECC) and preparedness of evacuation system to ensure the security of all personnel, operations, and assets of the company and security measures are in place as per company and country security and risk procedures.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Degree in Engineering or Physical Science.
- 7-9 years of relevant working experience in Oil and Gas industry
