NES Fircroft are delighted to be representing a market leading operator who are looking for a Safety Operations and Emergency Preparedness Manager. 

Act as the focal point between the affiliate and project team in HSE related matters (Onshore and Upstream packages) in the following locations:
Affiliate head office - Maputo;
Drilling logistics base (support for drilling operations and port logistics) – Pemba
LNG project construction site (onshore and offshore) – Afungi

Activities:
• Lead the implementation of the TEPMA1 HSE policy and promote HSE culture and HSE initiatives within the different sites
• Improve the HSE performance to meet HSE objectives
• Provide technical HSE support to sites in relation to HSE high risk activities
• Where relevant, develop or revise affiliate and project HSE procedures to ensure alignment with Company referential.

Accountabilities:
• Be the main focal point for HSE matters in direct relation with project and sites activities
• Ensure HSE monitoring and assessment of contractors (including HSE bridging documents)
• Ensure continuous implementation of HSE policy, rules and regulation as well as company standards
• Ensure Project Emergency Response Plan and organization are in place and appropriate to affiliate and project scale and activities

Qualifications/Experience:
• Education: Degree in any of HSE subjects of in Engineering
• Professional experience: more than 15 years in an operational role in the oil and gas / construction industry
• Technical knowledge of safety, health and environment management, emergency management, applicable regulations
• Good knowledge of oil and gas industry codes and international HSE standard and legislation
• Experience in the incident and crisis management, oil spill response organization, and IMS 300 organization
• Familiar with HSE management System / procedure is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• English speaking and writing. Portuguese and French are a plus
