The Quality & Operations Manager provides crucial support for the area, ensuring high-quality service delivery of performance, directional, and rental tools to clients. This role involves forecasting equipment requirements, identifying technical problems or equipment design limitations, and contributing to solutions. The manager works closely with field management and product lines to address technical issues and monitors the introduction of new services and/or equipment to ensure seamless communication for service delivery to customers. The role also ensures that R&M processes are maintained to the highest standards, in an effective and cost-efficient manner.

Job Summary:
The Quality & Operations Manager provides crucial support for the area, ensuring high-quality service delivery of performance, directional, and rental tools to clients. This role involves forecasting equipment requirements, identifying technical problems or equipment design limitations, and contributing to solutions. The manager works closely with field management and product lines to address technical issues and monitors the introduction of new services and/or equipment to ensure seamless communication for service delivery to customers. The role also ensures that R&M processes are maintained to the highest standards, in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage a team involved in Directional Drilling, MWD, and R&M operations, maintaining high performance levels.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of services, ensuring systems, procedures, and methodologies support excellent service delivery.
- Take ownership of critical SQ incidents, coordinating resolutions and facilitating post-incident reviews.
- Provide occasional on-site field support for product development and new technology rollout (Offshore & Onshore).
- Facilities, Repair & Maintenance:
- Ensure service and maintenance of rental and newly built equipment meet business and NOV standards.
- Coordinate intra-area loans, transfers, and operations support, managing assets and inventory counts.
- Visit active workshops to ensure continuity of service delivery standards to customers.
- Lead CAPEX planning, ordering, and asset optimization and management.
- Client Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and provide technical expertise.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Promote a strong safety culture and maintain effective infrastructure and facilities.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong management and leadership skills.
- Excellent time management and planning abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to drive service delivery performance and meet customer expectations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in oilfield-related activities, including Directional Drilling (M/LWD) and Repair and Maintenance, preferably, field experience.
- Experience with international certification and quality assurance.
- Deep understanding of the Directional Drilling (M/LWD).
- Preferably, relevant hands-on experience of working in a Service Shop, with Downhole Tools, such as Directional Motors, Rotary Steerable Systems and other Downhole Tools.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in Directional Drilling, MWD, and R&M
- Proven team-building and leadership experience.
- QA/QC experience, and experience/knowledge of international certification and standards.
Additional Information:
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
